Annual Meeting of Camp Alkulana Preservation Society

                                                          It is that time again! 

The annual gathering of CAPS members and all persons interested in keeping the Alkulana connection alive.

We would like to change it up a bit this year.  Pine Street Baptist has made it's social hall available to us on Saturday night for a spaghetti dinner and fellowship time.

4:30 - Gather and mingle with old and new friends

5:00 - Sit down and dine

5:30 - Business meeting :

          Camp Director, Beth Reddish Wright will give us a review of Summer 2018 sessions

​          CAST Chair, Julie Agee will talk about the Golf Tourney, and planned fundraisers and projects

          Current CAPS board will discuss progress on projects undertaken this year and propose new ideas for 2019

          Open the floor for last minute board nominations

          Paid members vote on 2019 Board members

The primary order of business - All Board positions are up for election this year.

If you wish to nominate someone else, you must communicate with them to be sure they are willing to ACCEPT the nomination.  We don't want to take anyone by surprise.

The following six positions serve a two year term beginning January 1, 2019.

Chairperson - The Chairperson of the Society shall be the chief executive officer. The Chairperson shall preside at all meetings of the Society and at meetings of the Executive Committee. The Chairperson must be selected from those serving on the Executive Committee.  The Chairperson shall represent the Society in all functions and activities required by his/her office.
The Chairperson with input from the Executive Committee shall set up necessary committees and solicit volunteers/members from the membership.

Vice Chairperson - The Vice Chairperson shall be an assistant to the Chairperson and in the absence of the Chairperson shall exercise the power of the Chairperson.

Second Vice Chairperson - The Second Vice Chairperson shall oversee all fund raising activities of the Society.

Recording  Secretary  - The Recording Secretary and shall be responsible for keeping minutes of all Society meetings and distribute them as directed by the Executive Committee.

Corresponding Secretary - The Corresponding Secretary shall handle all correspondence of the Society and shall be responsible for maintaining all mailing lists and any other information necessary for insuring contact with the membership.

Treasurer - The Treasurer shall be the chief financial officer of the Society shall maintain all financial records and make regular reports to the Executive Committee and the Society membership.

Three Members-at-large - serve on the Executive Committee and shall be selected at the annual meeting.

Members at large will serve 1 year terms and may serve multiple terms.
