Annual Meeting of the Camp Alkulana Preservation Society

 Sunday, March 14, 2021, at 2:00 – 2:45 pm.

Due to the circumstances of the past year, the Annual Meeting of the Camp Alkulana Preservation Society, usually held in November was postponed.  In order to get back on track, we will hold our Annual Business Meeting on Sunday, March 14, 2021, at 2:00 – 2:45 pm. 
To follow CDC guidelines, we will have an in-person meeting outside on the front lawn of the RBA office building
** We will also set up an online Virtual Meeting space (probably ZOOM) for those who are not able, or not comfortable, attending in person.
Our goal is to get as many persons involved, safely, in this gathering as possible.  There are so many goals we would like to achieve to further the mission of Camp Alkulana, but we need you to help make them happen.

Agenda – We will keep the meeting to 40 minutes or less.
We will get an update on the good things that happened in 2020 and hear plans for the 2021 activities.
The primary order of business - All Board positions are up for election this year.
Please read over the role descriptions and consider your ability to contribute to this mission.
We are accepting nominations until meeting time.  If you wish to nominate yourself, excellent! 
If you wish to nominate someone else, you must communicate with them to be sure they are willing to ACCEPT the nomination. 
We don't want to take anyone by surprise. 
The Board meets virtually for 40 minutes on the first Thursday of each month.
The following six positions serve a two year term beginning April 1, 2021.

  • Chairperson - The Chairperson of the Society shall be the chief executive officer. The Chairperson shall preside at all meetings of the Society and at meetings of the Executive Committee. The Chairperson must be selected from those serving on the Executive Committee.  The Chairperson shall represent the Society in all functions and activities required by his/her office.The Chairperson with input from the Executive Committee shall set up necessary committees and solicit volunteers/members from the membership.
  • Vice Chairperson - The Vice Chairperson shall be an assistant to the Chairperson and in the absence of the Chairperson shall exercise the power of the Chairperson.
  • Second Vice Chairperson - The Second Vice Chairperson shall oversee all fund raising activities of the Society.
  • Recording Secretary - The Recording Secretary and shall be responsible for keeping minutes of all Society meetings and distribute them as directed by the Executive Committee.
  • Corresponding Secretary - The Corresponding Secretary shall handle all correspondence of the Society and shall be responsible for maintaining all mailing lists and any other information necessary for insuring contact with the membership.
  • Treasurer - The Treasurer shall be the chief financial officer of the Society shall maintain all financial records and make regular reports to the Executive Committee and the Society membership.
  • Three (3) Members-at-large - serve on the Executive Committee.  Members at large will serve 1 year terms and may serve multiple terms.
